Softly peach-hued from five days of skin-soaking, this Gewürztraminer presents an exotically perfumed nose of lavender, rose petal, apricot and lemon-ginger. The palate is playful and fresh with flavours of honey, lime, fresh lychee and a lively minerality that lingers on the finish.

Winemaker's Notes
Ninety-two percent of the fruit was from our Estate vineyard, whose vines were propagated in 1999 and 2000 from select vines in our Moira Vineyard Old Gewürztraminer block. The remaining fruit was sourced from old vines in the neighbouring Eastman vineyard.Hand harvested between October 22nd and November 3rd, the clusters were sorted prior to destemming to select the finest berries. The fruit averaged 23 degrees brix, 7.7 g/l titratable acidity and 3.6 pH. The grapes were chilled and left to soak on their skins to further extract aromas and flavours before pressing. Fermented and aged in stainless steel, the finished wine had 10 g/l residual sugar when bottled in April 2010.
