For the first time, a dessert wine trio.
Our August Icewine release is a pastry shop
full of flavours. This is because, for the first time,
Malivoire will offer three varietal icewines. Come
to the winery and taste the apricot of our Riesling
Icewine, the peach of our Gewürztraminer and
the strawberry of our Cabernet Franc.
More good news: we’re releasing them at an
introductory price of $34.95 each for the month
of August, exclusively to our loyal customers.
Each Icewine will assume its regular price of
$39.95 as of September 1st. » purchase

Rare bottles released for Moira Chardonnay collectors
We’ve gone to our wine library to retrieve some
back vintage bottles of our Moira Vineyard
Chardonnay. Aged to elegance, several years
are represented including the celebrated inaugural
vintage of 1999 through 2004. As David Lawrason
observed in the April / May edition of Wine Access,
“These wines age very well with evolution
being slow year to year... the 1999 Chardonnay
is a masterpiece at ten years old.”
These are available to you on a first-come basis,
and there is no minimum or maximum purchase.
Put your name on some as soon as you can,
as supplies are small. Prices vary according to
age and availability.
Finally, watch for Malivoire’s next LCBO Vintages
release. Our 2006 Pinot Noir will appear
August 29th. » more

Be a part of our red wine round-table
We want your reaction. When it comes to red wines, Malivoire’s track
record has emphasized single-varietal Gamays and Pinot Noirs.
Nevertheless, restaurateurs, product consultants and people like you
have impressed upon us the popularity of fuller-bodied blended reds.
You’ve told us that a wine of this style, bearing the Malivoire label,
would find a receptive audience.
Martin Malivoire follows your comments avidly and, in response, we
will soon be releasing something for your appraisal; a red wine marrying
Merlot, Cabernet, Pinot Noir and Gamay. The wine will be called, selfsatirically,
“Guilty Men” and priced at $19.95. We hope you’ll like both
the humour and the wine.
We can produce a consistently great wine, offering fuller-bodied
characteristics, that meet both VQA and Malivoire’s own high standards.
Do you like the idea, and would you like to see this wine as a regular part
of our portfolio? Share your thoughts, whether in person or by e-mail.
When the wine is released, we invite you to come to the winery
to taste and evaluate it. Watch this space for a release date.
It won’t be far away.
