Sharing Summer and Wine
Exciting things have been happening at Malivoire. If you’ve visited us recently or seen our
newest LCBO Vintages releases, you’re aware of the lively changes to our labels. This year at
Malivoire is about more than a new look, though. Curious? Make time, Saturday June 6th,
10am – 5pm, to join our 2009 Welcome Summer event. Our Proprietors and staff will share
the fun of exploring the winery with you, and treat you to offerings from our celebrity chef.
We will also share new wine available now online and in our retail store.

2007 Gamay
A rounder, fuller, richer take on gamay. Dark crimson
in colour, with dried currant, cherry syrup, clove and
hickory aromas. Plum, ripe raisin, rhubarb and
raspberry treat the palate. The finish is satisfyingly
lengthy. This Gamay drew an enthusiastic “91” score
from the Toronto Star’s Gord Stimmell and the
Gold Medal for Gamay at the recent Ontario Wine
Awards. Although the yield for this vintage was
typically low, the price of this impressive red remains
comfortably approachable. You’ll be impressed by
what $17.95 can buy. Available now. » more

2008 Gewürztraminer
Softly peach-hued from four days of soaking on the
grape skins, this gewürztraminer is fresh and lively.
The nose finds apricot, pineapple, mango and
lavender while peach, ginger and quince delight the
palate. The finish is long, exotic and tingly. Our 2008
Gewürztraminer was awarded a Bronze medal at the
Ontario Wine Awards and is offered again in two
popular bottle sizes, the 750 ml. for $24.95, and the
handy 375 ml. for $12.95. Available now. » purchase

2007 Mottiar Pinot Noir
From Malivoire Winemaker Shiraz Mottiar’s
own vineyard comes something very personal.
Uncommonly dark, focused, intense and richly
textured, this was our special offering at the
Toronto Somewhereness wine event in April.
LCBO Vintages claimed almost all of this
inaugural small batch, but several cases
have been held back, available to you on
June 6th only, for $34 a bottle. Ask Shiraz
to autograph some for your cellar, and
you’ll have the first piece toward a rare vertical
collection with more memorable vintages
to come. » more
