Q. Can I get these wines at the LCBO?
A. Malivoire is a small producer of premium wines. We choose not to offer any of our wines through the "General List" of the Liquor Control Board of Ontario. We do, however, periodically offer small quantities of selected wines through the LCBO's Vintages Stores and Corners. Our Chardonnay (+573147) is a Vintages Essential which means that it is always available at Vintages stores. When we have released a wine through Vintages, we will show all wines avaiable on the Find Malivoire page. You can check Vintages availability by calling 1-800-ONT-LCBO or by visiting their website at www.lcbo.com and quoting that number.

Q. Can I choose any combination of wines I want?
A. Yes. Choose any combination of the individual wines listed on the order page that you wish.

Q. Is there a minimum or maximum order size?
A. The minimum order for delivery is six bottles. There is no maximum, other than the availability of the wines. If you are picking up the wine at the Winery, there is no minimum order.

Q. Can I get a better price with a larger order?
A. Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) regulations prevent us from offering any volume discounts on the price of the wine. However, delivery charges, if evaluated on a per-bottle basis, do decrease with larger orders.

Q. Can I order these wines for my licensed establishment in Ontario?
A. Yes. Please contact the Winery at 1-866-644-2244 so we can connect you with one of our representatives or check here for a list of contact names and phone numbers.

Payment

Q. What credit cards may I use?
A. We accept Visa and MasterCard.

Q. May I pay by cheque?
A. Yes. Email or phone in your order and winery staff will calculate your total with the delivery charges included. Then mail your cheque made out to the Malivoire Wine Company to PO Box 475, Beamsville, Ontario L0R 1B0. Your order will be shipped when your cheque is received.

Q. May I pay when the wine is delivered?
A. AGCO regulations require that the purchase has taken place prior to the delivery of the wine. This means that we must process your transaction here at the Winery before we ship the wine to you.

Q. Why can't I give you my credit card number in my on-line order?
A. We are not using a secure server. Your order will come to us as a regular email. We will then call you at the daytime phone number you provide, and you can give us your Visa or MasterCard number and expiry date over the phone.

Q. What delivery charges will apply to my order?
A. The delivery charges are determined by the number of bottles in your order:
    a. up to 12 bottles - $14 plus GST & PST
    b. 13 or more bottles - $20 plus GST & PST

Q. Who will deliver my order?
A. We prefer to deliver by courier so that the date of your delivery is known. We can also specify morning or afternoon delivery. If you do not have a daytime address where someone can sign for your order, Canada Post delivery is our other option.

Q. When will my order arrive?
A. You will be advised of our next courier delivery day when we call you to confirm your credit card information. You can specify a later delivery date, if you require.

Q. If I am not home when the wine comes, what happens?
A. Courier: When you choose this option, you will be advised when to expect delivery so someone 19 years of age or older, who is not intoxicated and has government-issued proof of age is available to sign for the shipment.

Q. If I place my order now, but will be away for a period of time, will you delay shipment until I'm back?
A. Yes. When you place your order, please let us know when we should release it to the courier for delivery.

Q. Can you deliver to my workplace?
A. Yes, provided that your workplace is an indoor non-public place, and not a licensed establishment. A person who is not intoxicated and is 19 years of age or older (with proper identification) must sign for the wine upon delivery.

Q. Can a neighbour accept delivery for me?
A. Yes, if you have given us instruction to deliver to your neighbour's address, and s/he is 19 years of age or older, has proper identification, is not intoxicated, and s/he will sign for receipt of the wine. The courier will not seek out a neighbour to leave the shipment with if that is not who the package was addressed to.

Q. Can I order wine as a gift?
A. Of course! We can deliver to an alternate address provided that you have given us instruction to deliver to your friend's address, and s/he is 19 years of age or older, has proper identification, is not intoxicated, and s/he will sign for receipt of the wine. We will enclose a gift card if you wish, and the paid invoice and credit card receipt will be mailed to you.

Q. Can you leave the wine if I direct you to leave it in a safe location (porch, breezeway, etc.)?
A. AGCO regulations require that the person delivering the wine must verify the age of the person receiving the wine, and s/he must sign a receipt for the delivery. Therefore, wine cannot be left unattended, even with your approval. The possibility that the wine could end up in the hands of a minor is an outcome that we at Malivoire cannot permit, and we are sure you appreciate.

Q. Can you ship to another province or in to the United States?
A. Sorry. Government regulations do not permit us to ship outside the province of Ontario.

Q. Can I use my PO Box number?
A. Our courier cannot deliver to a Post Office box due to the requirement for the wine to be signed for by someone of legal age. We will need a street address.

Q. Can I pick up my order at the Winery?
A. We would be glad to hold your paid order here for you to pick up. There would, of course, then be no delivery charges. The Winery is located at 4260 King Street East in Beamsville, Ontario. Tasting Room hours vary seasonally, so please click here before coming by.

Q. What if there is any breakage when I open my order?
A. Please contact the Winery at 1-866-644-2244 as soon as practical. We will make it right - replacement or refund, your choice.
