"****1/2 Malivoire's Estate Pinot Noir is produced solely with clone 115 fruit, which was harvested in November at extreme ripeness (24-plusē brix). It is a fragrant red, suggesting sour red berries, spice and floral notes. There is a mix of raspberry and red cherry fruit on the medium-bodied palate, which boasts fresh acidity, velvety tannins and a herbal/spicy finish. Such an exotic Pinot deserves a similarly exotic food match, say, pan-roasted ostrich fan with Bing cherry, red plum and caramalized ginger. Classic pairings, such as duck and blackened salmon, would work, too."

"Tasting note: Light-medium ruby in colour, this convincing Pinot features aromas of smoke, cherry cola, lilac, oak and spice. It's dry, medium-bodied with velvety tannins and a seam of acidity providing structure. Plenty of cherry flavour leads to a medium long finish. Enjoy with smoked turkey or salmon steaks. "Bright and Flavourful. Very slightly ambering medium red colour. Fairly juicy, ripe plums and dried red cherries on the nose with a hint of cedar. Dry, very toasty, only medium bodied but quite well structured with very bright, ripe plum and fairly juicy, cherry flavours. Screwcap closure."
